TRAINING: WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE
Do you or your group want more experience working with young people and harder to reach age groups?
This training course run by Young People Cornwall will provide you with the skills and experience to engage with young people between the ages of 11 and 24, to maintain their attention and get them excited about being in the natural environment.
The morning session will involve learning the theory around youth engagement and the chance to discuss ideas for running youth activities, in addition to gaining practical tips on communication and safeguarding.
In the afternoon, we will be putting these skills into practise by hosting a beach barbecue and rockpooling session with a group of young people. If you are keen to engage and inspire the younger generation then this is the course for you!
***To ensure training opportunities for groups across the Your Shore Network, until 19th April bookings are only open to members of Your Shore groups and Beach Rangers, with 2 spaces available to each group. Bookings will open to everyone on 19th April***
